Synopsis:
A Girl Named Job, written by Marie Antionette is an inspiring biography that tells a story of trials, tribulations, and the triumphs thereafter. Born in the heart of NJ, she was to be given up for adoption. However fate had other plans for this diamond in the rough and eventually ended up with her birth mother and her maternal grandmother who played the leading role in raising her. Mischievous and often naïve, Marie desperately needed the protection, supervision and love of her father, yet found just the opposite in a variety of other men who disguised themselves as caring friends. The pressures of teenage life influenced her involvement in drugs and criminal activity, pre-mature sex, and caused her to eventually leave school. She became a full time hustler and a “mule” [transporter] in order to block out the emptiness that dwelled inside of her. In her search for acceptance and the desire to start a family of her own, she fell in love with a man who emotionally and physically abused her for nearly 8 years. The two separated but not before she was blessed with what she desired most…
